Dr. Tarek Elgawhary

Dr. Tarek Elgawhary

Dr. Tarek Elgawhary is a scholar of Islam and comparative religions having studied at both Princeton University and al-Azhar Seminary. He is the creator of the Making Sense of Islam platform where he discusses issues related to Islam and mindfulness.

Dr. Tarek Elgawhary currently serves as the resident scholar at the Islamic Community Center of Potomac (ICCP). He is also an entrepreneur, teacher, and philanthropist. He is also the CEO and co-founder of the Coexist Corp., a business enterprise stemming from the Coexist Foundation.

Dr. Tarek Elgawhary currently visits to teach in-person courses for the One-Year Intensive in Islamic Studies and Weekend Islamic Studies Program at Madina Institute.
