Ustadh Ryan O’Meallie converted to Islam in 2002 and has been learning Arabic in increasing sophistication ever since. He holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and several ESL teaching certificates. He taught English in Saudi Arabia for years before moving to South Africa for the 1-Year Intensive at Madina Institute in Cape Town, where he graduated while simultaneously taking over academic administration. He moved to Atlanta in 2015 with his family to initiate the 1-Year Intensive and has been contributing to Madina Institute Atlanta ever since.
Ustadh Ryan O’Meallie currently teaches in-person courses for the One-Year Intensive in Arabic Studies at Madina Institute.
